A number of online training are offered to the University community flexible to enhance their understanding of equal opportunities principles and compliance, discrimination and harassment and special educational needs.

You can complete these self-paced modules anytime, ensuring flexibility while gaining valuable knowledge on fostering an inclusive campus culture.

Online Training with E-certificate

e-Certificate Course on Preventing Sexual Harassment on Campus
(developed by the Equal Opportunities Commission in collaboration with eight universities)

This online module aims to extend your knowledge on sexual harassment and give you practical steps to respond and intervene sexual harassment. It takes about 60 minutes and you can learn at your own pace. Take it all at once, or complete it in phases.  A digital certificate will be awarded upon the completion of the training.

The training contains 2 parts with animated videos:

  • Part 1: We’ll talk about how to define sexual harassment and how to deal with it with various reporting options, together with a short quiz at the end.
  • Part 2: You already know what sexual harassment is. We’ll look at various scenarios that could happen during your university life, together with some pop-up questions.

Online Course on Inclusive Campus and Special Educational Needs

Access self-paced modules on topics like discrimination, special educational needs and equity in education (approximately 1 hour to complete).  There are 2 modules for this online course. You will receive an e-certificate if you reach a minimum of 80 passing marks in all tests in each module. 

  • Module 1: Eliminating Discrimination and Practicing Equal Opportunities
  • Module 2: Protection under the Disability Discrimination Ordinance
  • Module 3: Walking with Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
